From FBN: Missouri City Employees Suffer Lower Pay & Higher Turn-over
Missouri City Police Pay Lags Other Cities By 8.3%; Firefighters By 7.5%

In a special council session Monday night, Missouri City City Council heard a report from the Waters Consulting Group concerning the pay scale of city employees. Joyce Powell, senior consultant with the group, told council that while the pay structures and actual pay were falling behind, the percentages are average.“The market is a constantly moving target,” said Powell.
The report indicated that for the non-exempt pay structure, the city lags behind by an average of 4.5 percent, for the exempt structure 3 percent, fire structure 4.6 percent and for the police structure 7.5 percent.
