I attended the sessions last night and I must say I saw more in attendance than at the mayor's staged "city congress" on Tuesday. I especially enjoyed getting a chance to talk to Ms. Stansell who is challenging Charlie Howard for a legislative seat. She knows what's going on with old charlie's backers, that's for sure.

I wanted to thank Mr. Moline, Tobin, Cathy and the others who helped organize this event. Now it is important to keep getting the word out to all the neighborhoods that were present last night like Colony Lakes, Brightwater, Oakwick and even some Quail Valley residents along with the FC villages.

One after thought on this:

“One possibility brought up was having candidates fill out a questionnaire, and all candidates who agreed with the stance of the neighborhood would garner their support.”

Wouldn’t the current council and mayor just sign off on this to divide this community? I don’t trust this council.

I spoke with Ms Stansell last night and I was highly impressed. She seemed to be genuinly interested in our area. She was approachable, friendly, and just plain nice. Thats a plus when dealing with an elected official. Too bad our good ol boys dont listen as good as Paula.

Paula,, You have my vote.

The meeting went great, As Noel said, we need unity to clean house and get this city moving in the right direction. I was impressed with the vast amount of knowledge that Mr Poats has. He answered questions that have been on my mind for years. Noel was most articulate and impressed me . It was refreshing to talk to a group of people who were not trying to hide something as when someone attends council meetings. It was great to hear that we CAN compare ourselves to Sugar Land as Jerry says we cant.

For our city, make a change,, get out and vote.

So many residents taking part in last nights meeting. It sure was a good sign for change. Paula Stansell was even in attendance and spoke. I sure hope she hammers Howard!

It is great to see so many community leaders taking an interest in this public meeting to discuss real citizen concerns. Getting involved is the only way to improve the current state of the city.

“Greyling Poats, who has announced he will run for mayor but has not yet filed, was in attendance, as well as Noel Pinnock, Kevin Tunstall and Robin Elackatt, who all indicated they are considering running for one of the two at-large positions.”

Did anyone catch that chronicle piece by one of the council members ranting on about his personal safety? He sounded very paranoid.
